I was born in Termoli, a beautiful city on the Adriatic Sea, which is a small, simple and safe city where everyone knows each other and has incredible food. I had a beautiful life growing up there. It’s the kind of place where you could play in the street as a child and be safe.

Were you from a musical family?

Both my father and mother played guitar and the piano.
